Introduction (continued)

My father came to Hartford in 1916 and went into the grocery and restaurant business and then established TOTO's Music Shop at 505 Front Street. Toto is a common Sicilian nickname for Salvatore. His various businesses prospered and by 1920 he was able to send for his wife and two children as well as his younger sister Antonina. My mother, Rosalia, is standing at the left. This picture was probably taken shortly after the young family was reunited.
