San Giorgio Archives
In this picture I'm holding one of the archive volumes in the church of San Giorgio. Each of the adjoining cabinets behind me has one shelf each of baptismal, matrimonial, and death archives. The earliest volume dates from 1566, three years after the close of the Council of Trent.
